GODSENT won a clean series against Tricked in the WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 final, 16-14 on Nuke and 16-8 on Inferno to lift the silverware in Kiev.
GODSENT lifted the trophy in their first tournament under new management, having been announced by their new organization the day before the start of the WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 Finals. They started their run in Ukraine by beating FORZE and GamerLegion in the group stage, further making their way to the final with a solid 2-0 victory against Gambit Youngsters in the semis.
Coming up through the other side of the bracket was Tricked, who have been hovering right around the top 20 spot in the world since September when they won the V4 Future Sports Festival. The Danes beat Heretics and Gambit Youngsters in the group stage to punch their ticket to the semi-finals, where they won a clean series against GamerLegion to make it to the final match in Kiev.
The match kicked off on Nuke, Tricked’s pick, and although the Danes took the opening pistol round, it was GODSENT who took complete control on the defensive side after winning the forcebuy and running away with an 8-1 lead. Despite the rough start, Tricked were able to bring the scoreline back to an acceptable 6-9 late in the half as Rasmus "sjuush" Beck led the way with 111 ADR and 15 frags. The Danes tied it up after winning the second pistol round with a triple from Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen, but GODSENT didn’t let up and kept their lead, extending it to 12-9. The map evened out with a 14-14 tie on the board, but Martin "STYKO" Styk put an end to it with an ace in the thirtieth round after his team took map point.
Two opening kills by Bubzkji eased Tricked into the lead on the defending side of Inferno, with the Danes going on to take a 3-0 lead. The pace changed with proper buys all around as GODSENT not only tied it back up but went on to take a 5-3 lead before the match took a wild turn with both teams going back-and-forth seven rounds in a row all the way to an 8-7 half. A triple by Pavle "Maden" Bošković kept GODSENT ahead after the second pistol round, and while Tricked were able to win their first full buy round, GODSENT locked it down winning out with six rounds in a row to win the trophy 16-8.
